Online Survey Open Until March 31!

We would like to thank everyone who has participated in our engagement – attended one of the Open Houses, spoke to us during the intercept surveys, or responded to the online survey. So, far we have had two open houses, three one-on-one meetings with stakeholder groups, three scheduled sessions for intercept surveys (97 surveys completed) at Phibbs Exchange and in the area around the site (including local businesses in the area), and 18 responses to the online survey. Through the process of engagement, the engagement team has reached out to more than 150 individuals and stakeholder groups and received input from 121 individuals and key stakeholders.

The engagement phase of the project is now complete, and we are drafting a report and summarizing all the input received. If you have not had a chance to share your thoughts, however, you still have a chance! We will keep the online survey open until the end of March and will be able to include all the input received until that time in our report. (You can find the online survey here.)

There is also still the opportunity to write to the project team. Our website will stay active and we will be posting updates whenever we have something new to report. You can read all the updates on our Blog:, and always reach us through the website’s Contact form or by writing to the project email address:

Join us for the Open Houses!

Last week, we had an opportunity to connect with residents, commuters, students and business owners at Phibbs Exchange and in the surrounding area. It was good to hear your thoughts on the project and be able to respond to your questions.

We have spoken to more than 100 people on February 5, 6 and 9, and we have counted 97 filled-out surveys! Many thanks to everyone who spared a minute to speak to us.

If you haven’t had a chance to run into us yet, we would like to invite you to the upcoming Open Houses:

4:00 – 6:00 pm, Saturday, February 22 at Seylynn Community Recreation Centre

5:30 – 7:30 pm, Monday, February 24 at Lynnmour Elementary School Gym.

collect your input. We will also have a draw for a door prize for all attendees who suggest a name for the

We are looking forward to seeing you on February 22 and February 24!

We Want Your Input!

A non-market housing project is being proposed in your neighbourhood, and we want your input.

Orwell Non-Market Housing is a development project by Sanford Affordable Housing Society (SAHS), and a partnership between SAHS, Hollyburn Family Services Society, BC Housing and the District of North Vancouver (DNV).

The proposed project site is near Phibbs Exchange and the Second Narrows Bridge.

We have launched the engagement and are looking forward to connecting with you.

We will be conducting mini surveys with residents, commuters, students, etc. at Phibbs Exchange and the surrounding area tomorrow, on Thursday and on Sunday at following times.

  • 8 am to 10 am on Wednesday, February 5
  • 4 pm to 6 pm on Thursday, February 6
  • 10 am to 12 noon on Sunday, February 9.

The snow made us reschedule our originally planned surveys this morning, but we are committed to carry on as planned tomorrow. We are hoping the weather cooperates!
